The unveiling of the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata will be done with all the pomp and circumstance this sporty model deserves, including a car cover removal and a smoke machine. Once the cover’s off, guests will enjoy expert guidance through everything the new model has to offer from a Mazda MX-5 Miata specialist, who will be on hand to explain a brief history of the model and to talk about some of the exciting advanced technology features and performance specs via a friendly question and answer approach. We’ll also be taking pre-orders for the new model as well.

About the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata

While I’m sure we’ll find out even more exciting news about the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata features at the big unveiling, here are some of the exciting highlights for this all-new model:

  • SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY: The all-new Mazda MX-5 Miata will get the full suite of these advanced technologies to optimize both performance and fuel economy, including a fine-tuned performance from the engine, direct injection capabilities from the transmission, a light and aerodynamic frame, and more.
  • Advanced Safety Features: Keep you and your passenger safe with available features like lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and adaptive front beams.
  • Balanced Performance: Powering the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata is a 2.0L four-cylinder engine fitted to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Making 155 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque, this powertrain has been moved closer to the center of gravity, alerting buyers to Mazda’s continued focus of balanced, responsive, and sporty driving dynamics as a top priority.
