The 2015 Mazda3 is available with two powertrain options, both of which are great for traveling up and down the Florida coast:

  • 2.0L Four-Cylinder: The standard engine for the Mazda3 generates 155 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque through a standard six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic transmission.
  • 2.5L Four-Cylinder: Drivers looking for more speed can upgrade to this bigger engine. It produces 184 hp and 185 lb-ft through the same transmission options.

Mazda has been adding fuel efficient SKYACTIV technology to the entire Mazda lineup and that includes the Mazda3 sedan. If you’re looking to improve your gas mileage, take a look at these efficiency ratings:

2015 Mazda3

  • 2.0L Four-Cylinder: With the standard engine, expect to get 30 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway with the automatic transmission and 29 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway with the manual transmission equipped.
  • 2.5L Four-Cylinder: Using the bigger engine, you can enjoy 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway with the automatic transmission and 25 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway with the manual transmission equipped.
  • i-ELOOP: You can equip the 2.5L four-cylinder model with a regenerative braking system called the i-ELOOP. This system boosts fuel efficiency to 29 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.

2015 Mazda3 Interior

Expect both passengers and cargo to fit easily into the spacious interior of the 2015 Mazda3. There’s 96.3 cubic feet of total passenger volume, so everyone will be comfortable whether you’re in front or back. You also have 12.4 cubic feet of dedicated trunk space (switch to the hatchback for more). The rear seats do fold down to give you more cargo room or add space for longer items.
