What is the All-new Mazda E911 System?

December 29th, 2015 by

Even with the solid engineering available from today’s modern cars, sometimes accidents happen. If the incident is severe enough, it can render you incapable of calling for help and leave you at risk of serious permanent injury. Because of this, Mazda has developed the innovative E911 system. Just one of the many 2016 Mazda6 safety features available to Palmetto and Memphis car buyers, the E911 system is capable of looking out for you, even when you cannot look out for yourself.

How Does the Mazda E911 System Work?

The theory behind the E911 system is simple – use the Mazda’s advanced calling features to get help if the car is involved in an accident. When the driver pairs their phone with the vehicle’s Bluetooth, the emergency system can be engaged from the telephone menu. Once the feature is activated, if the vehicle detects crush sensor damage or airbag deployment, it will use the paired phone to dial emergency services and alert them to the accident, allowing you to effectively call for help even if you’re incapacitated.

Other 2016 Mazda6 Safety Features

Mazda didn’t limit their advanced safety technology to the innovative E911 system. The Mazda6 offers a long list of standard and available safety features designed to make it one of the safest cars in production today:

  • Passive Safety – Advanced front airbags with side-impact curtain airbags, passenger weight sensors, and innovative SKYACTIV®-Body construction featuring tough side impact door beams are standard on every trim.
  • Active Safety – A rearview camera system is standard on all models with automatic transmission, while Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is added to the Touring trim for additional coverage. Grand Touring drivers can also look forward to Smart City Brake Support.
  • Traction Control – ABS is standard equipment on every Mazda6, as is Dynamic Stability Control with Traction Control, and Hill Launch Assist, ensuring that drivers won’t have to struggle to maintain control of their cars in challenging driving conditions.
