What Safety Settings do I Get in my Mazda?

November 23rd, 2015 by

Lots of folks have been buying some of our fully-loaded new Mazda vehicles here at Cox Mazda, and it’s no wonder why. When you purchase a Mazda with an advanced MAZDA CONNECT infotainment system, you’ll be able to enjoy a wide range of features right at your fingertips, including a couple of really cool new safety features.

Smart City Brake Support

The smart city brake support setting helps to prevent or lessen the severity of collisions in town when you’re driving between 3 and 18 mph. If the system determines that a collision with an object in front of the vehicle is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes in order to help mitigate, or hopefully avoid, any damages. You can manage the system in the settings of your MAZDA CONNECT infotainment screen, but it’s always a good idea to keep it on.

Blind Spot Monitoring

The blind spot monitoring system works by using sensors to let you know when there is a vehicle in your blind spot before you switch lanes. The system will alert you with a sound and an illuminated image on one of the side view mirrors. If you’d like, you can change the volume of the alert in the settings.
