The Mazda CX-3 is a well-designed SUV that never fails to impress. Intent on staying on top of the competition, Mazda is releasing a refreshed 2017 Mazda CX-3 redesign that will debut later this year to anxious Palmetto and Memphis drivers who can’t get enough of this capable crossover. Mazda hasn’t yet released a starting price for the 2017 Mazda CX-3, but when they do, Cox Mazda will be sure to let our interested customers know. Until then, read all about it here, then stop in and check out the exciting 2016 Mazda models already in stock.
The new 2017 Mazda CX-3 refresh is rumored to be getting new tech, as well as new design and structural elements that will make this already safe, attractive crossover even better.
While specifics have been few and far between, we’re told to expect new front and rear bumpers, which will be larger than previous years, as well as a longer bodyline, giving the crossover a sportier appearance. Drivers can also expect a larger grille with improved air intake for enhanced performance, and integrated LED fog lights, as well as LED-enhanced headlights.
The interior is said to be getting a refresh as well with a large touchscreen infotainment system that will showcase new features, although Mazda has been quiet as to what those will be.
The 2017 Mazda CX-3 is said to feature a 2.0L 4-cylinder powerplant that will produce160-hp and up to 120 lb.-ft. of torque, which is a 14-hp boost over the current model.
Drivers will still enjoy standard safety features like engine immobilizer with theft deterrent, tire pressure monitoring, advanced dual airbags, side impact door beams, and more on every trim level. Rearview camera, steering wheel mounted controls with Bluetooth connectivity and 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels will also be standard equipment, while options like heated exterior mirrors, 7-speaker Bose Premium audio system, and heated front seats remain available on select trims.
The current Mazda CX-3 offers plenty to love, with available FWD and AWD drivetrains, and a number of features that make it hard to beat, including:
Performance – The 2016 Mazda CX-3 is powered by a 16-valve 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that produces 146-hp and 146 lb.-ft. of torque. When properly equipped, this engine and SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGIES drive 6-speed automatic transmission returns an EPA-estimated 29 mpg/city and 35 mpg/highway fuel economy.
Convenience – Standard convenience features include climate control, power windows and doors, remote entry with “answer back” function, rear parking sensors, remote hood, hatch, and fuel door releases, and much more.
Connectivity – Unlike most vehicles at this price point, the Mazda CX-3 offers their infotainment system, Mazda Connect, as standard equipment. This feature includes Bluetooth music streaming, SMS text messaging delivery and relay, and the innovative E911 automatic emergency notification system.
